I am so excited for our fifth year at The Homestead! I know we have an exciting and fun-filled school year ahead. I want to welcome all of the new families to our school community and I am eager to get to know each family and student, as well as watch our returning students grow.
MUSIC CLASS: We are excited to be adding music classes at The Homestead. Bjorn Rowberg will be joining our teaching team and will be teaching music and piano to our students. We purchased a piano over the summer and we think this will be a great addition to our school. You can refer to our monthly calendar that gets sent home for exact dates for when music, art and Spanish will be offered.
T-SHIRTS: We will soon be placing an order for Homestead T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts for students and parents. If you need an order form, please grab one from the front desk.
ALL ABOUT ME: The beginning of the year is a great time to learn about one another as friends and classmates. We are going to discover our similarities and differences, and take a closer look at our own unique abilities.
HOMESTEAD BBQ: Our Homestead BBQ is on Friday, September 19 from 6:00-8:00pm. This is a great opportunity for families to meet and mingle with one another.
We had an incredible 2013/2014 school year. It was so much fun to see many students return for another great year and it was exciting to be able to welcome new friends also. We had a great end of the year BBQ with our Tuesday and Thursday students and our 4 and 5 year old class had a wonderful graduation ceremony and end of the year BBQ. All of our students got to end the year with a week of Camp Homestead where we spent the day outside reading camp stories and cooking on a camp fire. It was a great end of the school year and we feel so lucky to have had such a great group of students and families. We will miss those families that will be moving on to Kindergarten, but we are excited to see our students succeed in Kindergarten. For those families returning in September, we will have some summer park play dates and we cannot wait to see you all there. Our teachers will be taking a summer break, but of course will also be planning and gearing up for the 2014/2015 school year. We hope everyone has an awesome summer!! Thank you for everything you have contributed to our school.
